Singapore CV Photo
In Singapore a CV photo is optional and increasingly omitted. The Ministry of Manpower (MOM), via the Fair Consideration Framework (FCF), recommends CVs contain only job-relevant information — not a photo, age or gender. If you include one, use a professional head-and-shoulders headshot on a plain background; large corporates/ATS often prefer photo-free CVs.

Frequently asked questions
Should a Singapore CV include a photo?
Not required and increasingly omitted. MOM recommends CVs focus on relevant skills and experience; for large corporates/ATS choose the photo-free version. Only consider a photo for presentation-focused roles.
Why does MOM advise dropping photos and personal data?
The Fair Consideration Framework aims to reduce bias: employers should assess on merit, so a CV needs no photo, age, gender, religion or race.
If I still want a photo, how should it look?
Use a professional headshot: head-and-shoulders, a plain white/grey background, business attire, even lighting and a friendly, professional expression.
